Levy houses still for sale


What’s next for the three town-owned houses on the 383-acre Leon Levy Preserve in South Salem?

The three houses, near the intersection of Route 35 and Route 123 in South Salem, were acquired, along with a fourth, in 2005 as part of the financial deal to obtain the preserve, formerly known as the Bell Property, as permanent open space. At the time of purchase, the plan was to sell the four homes for approximately $2.3 million to put towards the town’s share of the $8.5-million purchase price for the property.
